The most basic Nondestructive Testing (NDT) method is the Visual Inspection. A visual inspection is used to determine the condition of a component. Detailed and objective visual inspections are able to help determine the condition of a component, establish a baseline, establish structural integrity, identify faults, and document corrosion.
Red Wave Visual Inspections follow procedures that range from simply looking, with a very critical and analytical eye, for determining the presence of surface imperfections, to using lighting and camera systems for recognizing and measuring the characteristics of a component.
